INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

We Welcome International Students

International students are warmly welcomed and given every opportunity to grow and develop their English language skills, broader academic studies, as well as social and cultural interaction.

We have a highly experienced English Language Teacher at Target Road School and our ELLs have their own interactive space which is a warm, well resourced learning environment, with the latest technology to support their learning. International students are placed into a mainstream class with students of the same age and they receive an additional two lessons per week in the ESOL department.

The Target Road School ESOL programme provides a comprehensive and interactive learning programme to enhance the English Language Learner’s (ELL) use of English through immersion in the four modes of English of listening, speaking, writing and reading.

The ELLs are given an opportunity to share their culture through song and dance at school assemblies - an occasion they look forward too.
