At Target Road School, we are focussed on developing this key area for our teachers and wider community.

Board of Trustees: Planning professional training opportunities to understand and give effect to the Education and Training Act 2020.

Leadership: Working alongside MAC (Māori Achievement Collaboration) to develop an Education Plan for Te Ao Māori at TRS. https://www.mac.ac.nz/programs

Kāhui Ako/Community of Learning : Local schools are working to establish next steps between Kaipātiki Kāhui Ako.

Teachers: A group of teachers are working alongside an expert that is providing professional development with classroom support, improving confidence and growth of Te Reo Māori.

Learners: Engaging in Te Reo lessons, learning about New Zealand history and our place. Our learners are also active participants with TRS practices such as karakia, waiata, kapa haka, mihi whakatau.
